Powerplant: Phosvolta GX-117 is Mach Caliber V's generator. It absorbs and stores heat from its surroundings and uses it to power Mach Caliber V.

Weapons:
-"Caliber Glare!"Eye lasers. Not very powerful but can be handy.
-"Caliber Driver!" Mach Caliber V's forearms are launched at the enemy target. Once they are launched retrieving them is difficult so Hayate has to make them count.
-"Caliber Melter!" Mach Caliber V's "V" belt buckle opens up and reveals a highpowered flamethrower.
-"Caliber Seekers!" The "V's" on his shins shoot out at high speeds. They are bound by chains so they are retrievable. He can use them to bind targets and retrieve his forearms.
-"Caliber Finishers!" 2 highpowered giant-sized handguns. Dual-wielded John Woo Style. It uses a special type of explosive ammunition. Since ammo is expensive, Hayate usually save these weapons for emergency use.

Other Equipment:
-Caliber Shell: A giant bullet that is used to shoot Mach Caliber V from the V-Fortress (in space) into the Earth. It's designed to increase the heat absorption rate of Mach Caliber V's generator while entering the atmosphere. The heat generated through the atmostpheric re-entry is converted into power. The Caliber Shell is also used to return to the V Fortress.
-Caliber Barrier: Mach Caliber V releases a burst of high-powered heat energy around his body and it acts as a shield. It takes alot of energy to perform so it's only used in emergencies.

Story:
Hayate Takagi was a highly skilled hitman. He heard that his father had died and he must come home immediately. Upon returning home, it's revealed to him that his father is actually the leader of V-Sector a secret organization that was assembled to stop an imminent alien invasion. Hayate was forced to become the leader of V-Sector. V-Sector's weapon against the alien threat is Choujin Hitman: Mach Caliber V. To gain funds for V-Sector, Hayate only help countries that pay them in advance.
Mach Caliber V is launched from the Spacestation V-Fortress like a bullet descending onto Earth and into battle!

Fighting Style:
Thanks to Hayate's fighting prowess, Mach Caliber V's fighting style borders in being both artful and ruthless. Though Hayate is more comfortable with using firearms, he tries to avoid using them in order to save money for future sorties as giant-robot gun ammo is apparently really expensive.
